New Year, New Skills!

By | January 26, 2015

BoomerPlus® training programs for 2015 are off and running- not that Amy Kraft takes a lot of time off from her work anyway. She is a woman in a mission to help people everywhere live healthier lives and from my vantage point, there’s not a minute to lose.

My awesome husband and I have found a great location on the Washington coast and completed Phase One of our relocation, but like many Boomers, we don’t sit still for long. I’m writing this from beautiful Bend, Oregon. We detoured over here on our way to California. We’re spending the day with my dad and then tomorrow, head down to the Davis area for six weeks spent caring for our 15 month old granddaughter, Fiona, while her dad completes his Master’s at UC-Davis and her mom takes a special course in Colorado.

Everywhere we go, the difference between people who have the knowledge and skills to properly care for themselves and the ‘average’ American is glaringly apparent. You have people like Amy Kraft, who at 67 is fit and active (see below). But we see too many people in every age group who can barely get around. The sad part is that the people with the most unhealthy lifestyles often don’t get the connection between what they put into their bodies and what they do with their bodies to their wellness and overall quality of life. Being sick and unable to enjoy life is not a ‘natural’ part of living!!!!!

Those of us who know the truth must not only apply what we know to our lives so we can avoid the sickness trap, we must also make a concerted effort to share what we know every opportunity we get. It can be a simple as leading by example or it could be by sharing a web site, mentioning a health related television program, giving a healthy living book as a gift or inviting a friend or loved one to take a workshop with you. You can make a difference in someone’s life.

If you happen to be a therapist, 2015 is on a roll and there is no better time to upgrade your skills than right now. New understandings in physiology, the mind-body-spirit connection, and  many more new, exciting revelations in the fields of wellness and  therapeutic yoga mean if you haven’t upgraded your skills recently, your clients are suffering.

As a health professional, of course you want the best for those you serve, and BoomerPlus® has what you need to do just that. Here are just a few of our offerings you can take advantage of to better serve your customers this year:

Whew! February will be a busy month and BoomerPlus has something for everyone. Thank goodness we still have room later in the year to schedule more training opportunities. If we don’t currently offer the courses you desire or you need them a bit closer to home, we understand. Give Amy a call at 406.546.6922 and we’ll do what we can to help. And if she will be in your area teaching, you can take advantage of the opportunity and request a personal therapy session. Amy is on a mission to help people live better lives. If you can get a private session, you’ll see immediate improvement and learn skills you can put to use right away to keep feeling good long after.
